What is a "comp"?

A “comp” or “build comp” is the composition of builds. This can be something a commander requires, or simply suggests, it can depend on the raid/commander.

In WvW, commanders tend to ask players to use our recommended builds. These builds have been deemed by the community as “meta” or “good” for the current time and as such is best when used properly. These builds are recommended not only by TEAM but by a large number of players in the community despite any recent patches.

TEAM has NO requirement for builds for maintaining a spot in the guild. That being said, some commanders may decide to run comped only raids when they wish (usually discord comms are required during comped WvW).

Required

The following roles are required in each sub party for a squad to be successful in fights against other comped guilds. Without these, a squad tends to either fall apart, or only win if severely outnumbering the enemy. Even when doing simple PPT, you are bound to find a fight, so come prepared, don’t assume someone else will cover these. Healers and stability are always needed first, DPS come after when determining the comp.
